Background

I grew up in Namibia and after finishing school in 2002 I moved to Cape Town, South Africa, to complete my two-year qualification as a Therapeutic Massage Therapist.

After completing my studies, I went into private practice in 2005. After a couple years, in 2007, I then moved into a beautiful old Victorian style house which would become a multi-disciplinary practice that I ran together with my sister up until 2014.

In 2015 my husband and I moved back to Namibia.

While working in Cape Town I was able to build up a wide knowledge base as I attended many interesting workshops and courses. I also worked closely together with some amazing health care practitioners. Often working at major sporting events in and around the Western Cape, I was privileged enough to work with some top athletes in various fields. Since moving back I have had the privilege to work with an incredible team of health practitioners too.

I found a fascination for Pilates when I started training with an instructor for myself. I felt the amazing benefits it gave me by strengthening my body for my line of work. Working with a lot of postural problems, muscle imbalances / injuries and weakened joints in my massage practice, I found that Pilates would be the perfect fit. Therefore, in 2010 I decided to complete a Pilates course to complement my practice to further benefit my patients.

In the past few years I have been exploring fascia and movement and have attended various workshops and courses in this very interesting field; I find it to be the perfect addition to my practice by way of integrating this knowledge.
